Danielson (also known as Danielson Famile) is the long‑running, ever‑evolving musical project led by Daniel C. Smith and built around the voices and instruments of his siblings. Since the mid‑90s, the band has carved out its own unmistakable place in independent music — blending joyful experimentation, spiritual curiosity, and a kind of homemade, communal energy that feels both playful and deeply sincere.
Over the years, Danielson has released a series of beloved and boundary‑pushing records, toured widely, and collaborated with a wide circle of artists. Their performances are known for their creativity, humor, and heart — always rooted in family, faith, and the shared experience of making something together.

The Joyful Noise Artist Enabler Club is a yearly subscription series that invites a small group of musicians to share rare, intimate, and often experimental work directly with listeners. In 2025, Daniel joined the Club, releasing a monthly series of new and previously unheard Danielson recordings.
For each installment, Daniel also carved and printed a custom limited-edition woodblock print, handmade in small batches exclusively for Club members. These prints — along with remaining editions from the series — are still available through the Sounds Familyre store.
The project became a space for creative play and tactile artmaking, reflecting the same sincerity and imagination that has always shaped Danielson’s music. It was the launching pad for the upcoming full length album being created now.
